Gyri Reiersen

Gyri is the Co-founder and CPO of Tanso. With a background as an AI engineer and scientist from TUM, ETH, and MIT, she has been actively engaged in the climate tech space for over a decade. In 2021, she founded the SaaS company Tanso with the mission to bring climate intelligence to the European industrial market and help manufacturing companies achieve their sustainability goals. In 2022, she was recognized as one of Germany’s “Top 20 Women in AI” by Rework for her research on machine learning to enhance transparency in carbon offsets in forests using satellite imagery. As a long-time member of the Global Shapers, a World Economic Forum community of young leaders, she has launched multiple initiatives to empower people in the fight against climate change, promote diversity in tech, and break the stigma surrounding mental health.
